The KMP existed for 10 years without a donation button, but on 12 October, 2007 I added one. I did so not because all of a sudden I want to get payed for maintaining the page, but because visitors of the page requested that I add one.
I'd always thought, if you are happy and thankful that the KMP exists, you should help me gather information or images, proof-read pages, or help with the graphical design. But some people cannot, or do not like to do such things, and if you want to say thanks by making a financial donation, of course I'll be happy to receive it. The money will probably go towards keeping my computer or photographic equipment up-to-date, and since I use both to keep the page running, you are still helping the page...
